Happy Ending

Cute Florida panther kitten on road to recovery after being found close to death

This cute and endangered Florida panther kitten was close to death just a few weeks ago.

The animal is now on its way to making a full recovery after being rescued from the Florida Panther National Wildlife Refuge.

The kitten had hypothermia when it was picked up by concerned biologists who then took it to a special animal hospital in the state.

‘He was very lethargic, listless and non-responsive,’ said a spokeswoman for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

After intensive round-the-clock care, the animal, which has yet to be named, put on more than a pound in weight.

He has now been taken to Lowry Park Zoo, in Tampa, to continue his recovery but is unlikely to ever be released back into the wild.
