Poodle disrupts commuter trains
A runaway poodle has been blamed for disrupting a number of commuter trains in Oakland, California, after jumping onto the tracks.
The dog, which appeared to be travelling on its own, jumped down from a train before bounding onto the tracks and down a tunnel.
The mischievous mutt caused delays along the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) lines in and out of the Lake Merritt station in Oakland, California, on Thursday morning.
Despite transit police and station operators mounting a search for the wayward dog, it managed to escape any punishment from angry commuters.
BART spokesman Linton Johnson stated that the poodle was last seen exiting the tracks above ground a little further along the line, joking that he hope the dog 'had a ticket to ride'.
